Nonna |
Nonna is 10, and has just been given the task of
keeping the horses healthy and happy every day,
a task she has taken over from her mom. At
first, the horses are not impressed, but she
soon wins them over with her hard work, and
heart of gold. But when she accidentally shows
herself to the farmer, the animals are going to
have to work hard to keep the gnome girl safe. |

Butterscotch |
Butterscotch has a heart as big as his ego.
Daily struggles with a cunning mouse does
nothing to diminish his sense of
self-importance. When Nonna needs help, he's the
first one to answer the call. |

Sheridan |
The
stallion of the stables, Sheridan sees himself
as the most important animal on the farm. Little
does he know that most everyone is laughing
about this, behind his back. But when push comes
to shove, he is needed and he loves it. |

Bessy &
Camilla |
Old
and wise, and young and foolhardy. Bessy is the
helpful, kind old mare to Camilla's young, naive
and selfish persona. But they both love Nonna
and would do anything to help. |

Buster |
Quiet and strong, he doesn't hesitate when the
Tomtur family needs his help to find Nonna in
the deep forest. |

The Owl |
The
wisest animal within 10 miles. Or so he likes to
think. Mr. Owl has a big heart, and a big ego. |

The rest of
the Tomtur Family |
Mr.
& Mrs. Tomtur are Nonna's hardworking parents.
Mr. Tomtur takes care of the cows, while Mrs.
Tomtur has to work hard on keeping their family
in food and clothing. Nigel, Nonna's 17 year old
brother works all around the farm. |

Scroop, Wexy,
Milar & Scoord |
A
family of forest gnomes, they live on what the
forest gives them. Whilst it can be a hard
existence, Nonna soon realizes that her family
actually have a tougher life. |

The Henshaw
Family |
Dad
is stressed out and forgetful, a bit of a whimp
where illness is concerned. Mom is rushed off
her feet with the twins, the farm and running
the household. The twins, Bobby (the nicer of
the two) and Brian, are 9 years old and quite a
handful. The animals like Bobby, but Brian is
too mean to them all. |
